ERRING AT KING GEORGE 2022
Triptych created for Erring at King George 2022 as part of The Boards series of installations. The Boards installations focused on the impermanence of information communicated through chalkboards and bulletin boards. To reflect this, the triptych pieces play off human development and show the impermanence of ourselves through aging hands. The pieces were arranged in sequence based on hand imagery. A secondary theme to the work is the impermanence of our environment and how we perceive it. Hidden within the pieces are images of current species of risk in Ontario. These images are only illuminated under UV light.
Hand #1 (Nine-Spotted Lady Beetle) is the first piece in the triptych. The Nine-Spotted Lady Beetle is a 5 colour screen print that includes one UV sensitive layer. Printed on 320 gsm acid free 100% cotton.
Hand #2 (Rusty-Patched Bumble Bee) is the second piece in the triptych. The Rusty-Patched Bumble Bee is a 5 colour screen print that includes one UV sensitive layer. Printed on 320 gsm acid free 100% cotton.
Hand #3 (Hungerford's Crawling Water Beetle) is the third piece in the triptych. The Hungerford's Crawling Water Beetle is a 5 colour screen print that includes one UV sensitive layer. Printed on 320 gsm acid free 100% cotton.
